I have worked really hard
to become so simple.

I have peeled away
pretension and artifice.

I sometimes slip up and
become momentarily complicated.

Then the process begins anew,
banishing the extraneous,

until I am left with the
naked, vulnerable core.

Sometimes there is an exquisite
alignment of uncomplicated being.

I am nothing.
I am everything.

In this space, there is peace.
In a heartbeat . . . I am, I am, I am.
